A few months back, singer Bruno Kiggundu better known as Bruno K accused fellow musician Wycliff Tugume alias Ykee Benda of snatching his girlfriend. The ‘Omuwala’ singer even vowed never to forgive Ykee Benda because of what he did to him.
However, Ykee Benda bluntly responded to Bruno K with a brashness that he indeed snatched his girlfriend and is not apologetic because she didn’t indicate she was dating anybody at the time.
While speaking in an interview on a local radio station, the ‘Superman’ singer stated how Bruno brought the story to light just to seek favor and sympathy from the public.
Benda explained that he met the lady at Nessim’s studio, had a chat, and exchanged contacts after telling him that she is single.
After sometime, Bruno K found him with the girl at a bar and interfered in their conversation but he took it politely.
“It is true I snatched her. A woman is not yours if she has not said she is. If I come up to a girl now, ask if she is single and she says yes, is she yours? You can’t blame a man, you blame the woman,” said Ykee Benda.
It should be noted that Bruno K said Ykee Benda knew he was dating this girl but proceeded to also ask her out, when he confronted the singer over the matter while he ran into them, a fight nearly broke out.
He added that it was at that point that he lost all the respect he had for Ykee Benda and learnt later that the relationship lasted less than a month.
The ‘Muna Kampala’ singer also disclosed that he has no problem with Bruno K.
“I have no problem with him because I didn’t wrong him. If there is anyone with a problem, it should be him. I have been seeing him battling with the label heads (Black Market Records) and felt bad. Because he is a great artist, I have nothing against him but I took the woman. It is true,” he added.
