A report revealing the highest number of searched personalities in Kenya established by Global search engine company, Google has indicated that Kenyans were most interested in the results of Ugandan elections in 2021.
According to the “Year in Search” lists released by one of Kenya’s biggest local media companies, Nairobi news, it is revealed that Kenyans retained an interest in the Ugandan polls which were escalated up by the entrance of musician turned politician, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine, who would go on to lose to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in an election characterized by countrywide tensions.
The search shows that Bobi Wine was the most searched foreign personality in Kenya, beating the likes of American President Joe Biden, Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Museveni, Tanzania President Samia Suluhu, South African president Jacob Zuma among others.
The report also reveals that Kenyans also searched about the English Premier League which is England’s most popular football competition, comprising a galaxy of star footballers including Cristiano Ronaldo, Muhammed Salah, Mane among others.
