Uganda’s pioneer premium dermatology clinic has officially rebranded to Refine. Formerly known as Avané Cosmetic Clinique & Medispa, the clinic now goes by the name Refine Skin & Body Clinic. The clinic, located at Forest Mall is a household name in Cosmetic & Medical Dermatology offering various skin care treatments, weight loss treatments, anti-ageing treatments among others to visiting patients.
While rumors of takeovers often surround such rebranding exercises, this has not been the case with this one as the clinic remains under the firm stewardship of renowned Lead Specialist & Proprietor: Dr. Chirag Kotecha.
We caught up with Dr. Kotecha who explained that the rebrand is not a mere change in name but actually an expansion. “The main purpose of the rebrand is to expand our services. We now not only focus on skin. We are expanding our attention to the whole body, sexual health and well-being, hair loss treatments and so much more. We now seek to improve a person in their entirety by enabling them to look better, feel better & perform better” he said. He added that many new treatments have been added to the clinic’s scope in the realms of anti-aging, hormonal & nutritional treatments.
It was also revealed that in a bid to offer a more extensive array of services, the clinic has partnered with seasoned dermatology brands in the US including Soni Medical Center in New York and Show Me Younger in St. Louis. The clinic has been known to offer a premium service and now they promise to turn it a notch higher with a more superior service and more advanced treatments.
The rebrand is not without something extra special for the Ugandans as the clinic is offering up to 50% discounts on new procedures for weight loss, skin improvement including Slender Wonder, Skin Tightening, Chemical Peels and discounts on rejuvenation products & sunscreens.
Some of the new state-of-the-art treatments at Refine Skin & Body Clinic include: Body Sculpting that builds muscle & sheds fat, P-Shot® & O-Shot® for sexual enhancement in men & women respectively and IV Drip Therapy for overall body rejuvenation among others.
As Ugandans continue to grapple with quality skin care, it is our hope that, with such developments in the dermatology industry, this is all about to change. Another big issue that still persists is the tendency of the populace to shun quality dermatology care in favor of the cheap untested products at the expense if their skins and bodies in general. But with the growing popularity of self-care & anti-ageing in general, the sky seems the limit for professional dermatology players.
