Over the weekend, singer Bruno Kiggundu popularly known as Bruno K took his former music label Black Market Record lawyers to law school as they were attempting to serve him on national TV.
While Bruno K was appearing on local Television, the singer’s former music label Black market records sent their legal team to serve him with a notice of intention to sue him which he refused to accept claiming that it was a Saturday.
‘I don’t know who advises Black Market Records, who on earth serves someone on national TV on a weekend. These guys keep exposing themselves every day. This is the second time they have ashamed themselves on national tv and in front of so many Ugandans you only serve someone through the media if he or she hasn’t been available. Thank God I went to school and I know the law very well. The lord will always expose our enemies and am glad he did,’ Bruno K stated.
Black Market Records is suing the ‘omuwala’ singer for defamation and breach of the contract he signed with them in 2020.
Bruno K accused the Black Market Records label of monetizing his YouTube channel. He said he used to earn 1000USD (Shs3.6 million) before joining the record label but when he joined the label, he started earning Shs20,000 from his channel.
He also said that he never signed any contract with them to have rights to his old music as they say and claim.
