Having missed swearing in last month, new Attorney General (AG) Kiryowa Kiwanuka was among the 15 ministers that were sworn in yesterday July 8.Kiryowa said he missed the main swearing-in ceremony because he was a contact of someone who tested positive for Covid 19.
Shortly after swearing in as the new Attorney General of the Republic of Uganda, Kiryowa made a resounding pledge to change the stereo type that ‘the Attorney General’s office is never available.’
“Top on the agenda for me, is to get this stereotype out that the attorney General’s office is not available. We are going to be more available. Attend cases when we have to attend. We are going to file our pleadings within the time allowed. It’s a question of doing what you’re supposed to do when you’re supposed to do it. If you’re required to be in court you must be,” Kiryowa said.
He also emphasized that his focus will be on doing their best, and for the public to indeed see that the best is being done.
