Uganda Cranes departed the country yesterday evening at around 11pm for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to embark on a training camp.
The training camp will help Uganda Cranes prepare for the forthcoming CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup due mid-July and the FIFA 2022 World Cup-Russia Qualifiers that kick off in September this year.
A contingent of 35 people, including 25 players and 10 officials left Entebbe International Airport aboard Qatar Airways QR 1386.
The team is under the guidance of Coach Morley Byekwaso, assisted by Simeon Massa while Stephen Billy Kiggundu is the goalkeeping coach.
Enock Walusimbi of newly declared Uganda Premier League champions Express FC has been appointed the team captain.
Cranes will play two games against the Saudi National Team (The Falcons) on 2nd and 5th July 2021. The team will be based in Riyadh.
