Uganda has hit another record high of daily cases as the ministry of health yesterday reported 1, 735 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide count to 60,250.
The new cases become Uganda’s highest number of Covid-19 cases in a single day since the pandemic began —with Kampala alone also registering a record high of 1,117 cases.

Data from the Ministry of Health further indicated that the country recorded 15 deaths on Thursday, its highest number in a single day, bringing the total number to 423.
Uganda is struggling with the entrance of other variants like the South African, Indian, and British. The Ministry of Health announced early this week the end of the vaccination process citing the lack of enough jabs. It also disclosed that all intensive care and high-dependency beds in the country were already occupied.
