Following a directive by the President to close all schools and institutions of higher learning for 42 days as one of the measures to curb the Covid 19 virus, Nkumba University has shared with its students a virtual programme to enable the continuity of their studies during this period.
In the document issued by the university all the academic activities will be conducted online including the examinations for the End of August 2020 and February 2021 semester.
“Examinations of the End of August 2020 and february2021 semesters shall be done online effective June 21, 2021. The examination shall be submitted through the University E learning systems. No examination shall be received via other media,” stated the document
The document also stated that practical and computational examination will be one physically when the University reopens.
The university advised it’s lecturers to work from home and also requested its academic staff to open up open book online standard examinations and submit them to the respective Deans.
“In order to meet the 30% staff presence at campus, all staff are encouraged to work from home unless called upon to execute various tasks require physical presence,” stated the document.
The university also informed the students that the August 2021 semester will run as scheduled.
“The commencement of the August 2021 semester remains as scheduled to be run online,” stated the document.
