Three days after Sheebah releasing the video of her song dubbed Kale mamafeaturing Chance Nalubega, the song has garnered 132 views in just 72 hours on You Tube.

Kale mama off Queen Karma’s SAMALI music album exudes a love story gone wrong with a melodious, beat and vibe. The contemporary Zouk tune is produced by Artin pro and video directed by Director Pest, the story was crafted with utmost simplicity coupled with quality visuals and art.

At the beginning of the song Sheebah borrows a line from the chorus of the famous reggae-pop song All that she wants by a Swedish group Ace of Base which she gracefully sings with a little queen karma twist.

In the richly woven lyrics, Sheebah and Chance describe the ordeal that they went through in the hands of their estranged lovers and how they fell out of love.  The legendary Chance Nalubega repeatedly sings “Kale Mama” from the beginning of the song to the end.

Chance won the hearts of many Ugandans in the early 2000s with her songs such as  Guma omwoyo, Mwami kulikayo, Omukwano guluma, Ani amulabyeko and many more songs. And her musical similes and metaphors in Kale Mama bring on pure nostalgia for all the early 2000 music lovers.

“SAMALI” is an 18 track album released under the record label TNS (Team No Sleep) and has a playtime of 52 minutes. The album taps into Sheebah’s story, her life, struggle/ her hustle and journey rising to the top but also has a feel good vibe to it with special features from Chance Nalubega, Fik Fameica, King Saha among others.
