President Yoweri Museveni is expected to announce a new cabinet very soon after the ruling National Resistance Movement released a list of its members on Parliament’s appointments committee.
Evelyn Anite, the former Koboko Municipality Member of Parliament and outgoing State Finance Minister for investment and privatisation is extremely sure that she will be in the new cabinet.
According to Anite, she has delivered to her expectations in the last five years and it’s what Museveni wants.
Speaking at a function in Kampala to bid farewell to the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) board members, Anite said the people of Koboko voted her out because of ignorance.
“One thing I tell people is that the boss is President Museveni. My job is to make sure he’s happy. That’s why I have survived for five years I didn’t get fired and I am very sure that I will not get fired.
At least the people of Koboko fired me out of ignorance but not President Museveni because for me I deliver. If we get fired, then maybe witchcraft is real,” Anite said.
