According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman,  police was forced to fire teargas to disperse angry students  who burnt old car tyres in the middle of the road demanding extension of semester, while others wanted online learning stopped.

Earlier today, the University administration suspended physical lectures after six students and two lecturers tested positive for the deadly COVID-19. The institution decided to start conducting lessons virtually so that learning is not halted.
