Thieves that disguised as National Water employees and strangled Chinese national arrested, the lady found in Ntungamo building a house for the mother

Police has arrested three of the suspects that appeared in the in the viral video of the Kyambogo robbery where they (thieves) disguised as staff of National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) employees.

Speaking during the weekly police briefing, police spokesperson Fred Enanga said a joint security team has been on a hunt for the suspects and over the weekend three of them were netted from different areas.

Enanga said that the lady in the video is a 32-year-old by the name of Elizabeth Kiiza and was found in Ntungamo district as she was constructing for the mother a new house.

He added that one more suspect who was outside the gate coordinating the mission is still on the run.  

The sorrowful video captured three men and one woman disguising as National Water employees pretend to be checking a water meter as the owner of the residence, a Chinese national, showed them around. One of them later grabs the Chinese by the neck and attempts to strangle him.

Police later confirmed that the thugs successfully raided the home and robbed over Shs85 million.
