Uganda Cranes 90 minutes away from qualifying for third consecutive AFCON finals

Uganda Cranes will today play their final and decisive AFCON Qualifier tie against Malawi today on Monday March 29 2021 at Kamuzu Stadium, Blantyre. The do or die game will be played at 4pm.

The Uganda Cranes Contingent left on Sunday morning aboard Uganda Airlines Chartered flight to Blantyre. The team held their training later in the evening.

From Group B, Burkina Faso already booked their place in the next AFCON finals.  The winner of this Group B clash between Malawi and Uganda will join the West African giant in the finals.

Uganda and Malawi are separated by just one point with that advantage being Uganda’s so a draw would the boys seal their spot.

Uganda held leaders Burkina Faso to a draw last week while Malawi come into this on the back of a win over South Sudan, the Cranes should be focused enough to earn the point they need at the very least.

The 23 man Squad that was named by the head coach Abdallah Mubiru include; Denis Onyango, Magoola Salim Jamal, Ochaya Joseph, Nico Wadada, Juuko Murushid, Mukiibi Ronald, Kizza Mustapha, Lwaliwa Halidi, Azira Michael, Lwanga Taddeo, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Miya Faruku, Okello Allan, Moses Waiswa, Lumala Abdu, Kizito Luwaga, Okwi Emmanuel, Mugweri Gavin, Kigonya Mathias, Sentamu Yunus, Isiagi Daniel, Lukwago Charles and Orit Ibrahim.
