Renowned Traditional Healer Sophia Namutebi alias Maama Fiina has expressed her intentions to contest for political office come 2026. She says for long she has been yearning to stand for a parliamentary seat but her academic documents are lacking.

She however reveals how she is very much willing to go back to school and get the required academic qualifications.

“If I get someone with a reasonable school, I am going back. We are always limited by lack of academic qualifications but we love our nation much more than those with papers,” says Maama Fiina. Maama Fiina is on the NRM notional mobilising committee.

On controversies surrounding the academic documents of Kawempe North MP-elect Ssegirinya Muhammed, Maama Fiina says Ssegirinya is the most hardworking person she has ever seen and he is capable of being a good leader.

Nonetheless, she says his lack of academic papers might see him lose his parliamentary seat.
