State Minister for Higher Education, Dr John Chrysostom Muyingo has revealed that government is arranging exams for seven students but they will have to wait until next year.

Seven students who were representing Uganda at AFCON U17 & U20 missed their Uganda Certificate Examinations (UCE). These include; Alpha Thierry Ssali, Ivan Irinimbabazi (Royal Giants High school), Oscar Mawa (Gombe High), Mutyaba Travis (St Mary’s SS, Kitende) and Elvis Mwanje (Masaka SS).

“They should not lose hope but continue to prepare for the exams. I am appealing to the students to be calm while waiting for the exams,” Muyingo said.

The response comes after the players’ parents showed their disappointment with the Ministry of Education and Sports on how it has handled the issue yet the students missed exams while representing the country on the continental level.
