Uganda’s music industry is going to be better than Nigerian’s in three years to come—Says Sylvia Owori after being appointed musicians patron

Renowned fashion designer, businesswoman, political lobbyist, entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Zipa Modeling Agency Sylvia Owori has come out and promised to make Uganda’s music industry number one in Africa in three years to come.

This was after Uganda’s female musicians, under their umbrella Uganda Musicians Association shared their daily concerns mostly about the effects of the life changing Covid-19 pandemic to Sylvia Owori and even appointed her as their patron.

“As National Music Union we are going to look for kids with different talents from every district in Uganda and support them so that our music industry can be better than Nigeria’s,”

Sylvia Owori said that recently she was appointed the Director of Operations at Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) and music industry is the reason why she reached in the office.

She added that she is going into her office to help the music industry.

“Since they have voted me as the musician’s patron, I am going to use my government office to push the music industry and like I said, our industry is going to better than Nigeria’s in three years time,” Owori said.
