The National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine has this afternoon announced his decision to withdraw his petition nullifying President Yoweri Museveni’s presidential victory in the 2021 polls.
Bobi Wine instructed his lawyers to withdraw his Presidential petition citing bias in the Supreme Court.
“We are withdrawing from the Supreme Court because the court has failed to show that they are independent as they continue to favour Museveni,” said Bobi Wine before disclosing that he has pushed the matter to the public court.
The ruling NRM party through their official Twitter handle have celebrated his decision.
“Robert Kyagulanyi has withdrawn the election petition. Our President Kaguta Museveni’s victory is now unchallenged,” said NRM in a tweet.
