“Kayunga Wagwan,” NRM celebrates Muwonge’s victory in Kayunga LC5 by-election

National Resistance Movement (NRM) party is celebrating Andrew Muwonge’s victory in the Kayunga LC5 by-election.

Muwonge who contested on the NRM ticket has been declared winner of the highly contested by-election this morning.

Muwonge has been declared the winner with 31,830 votes against NUP candidate Harriet Nakwede’s 31,380 votes.

NRM celebrated the win by posting “Kayunga wagwan” on their official social media pages.

Wagwan is a Jamaican patois word that means what is going on.

The word had become synonymous with NUP president Bobi Wine as he has been employing it in a number of his social media posts.
