Why displaying the National Voters Register matters

Following Tuesday’s twin bombing that claimed seven lives and left 33 injured, former presidential candidate and member of the Alliance For National Transformation (ANT) Maj Gen (Rtd). Mugisha Muntu has cautioned the Head of State to change his mindset when it comes to handling terrorism.

“If Gen. Museveni continues with his arrogant mindset, we are sitting on a time bomb. Pride comes before a fall,” said Muntu.

The former Army commander said that terrorism is a threat to everyone regardless of one’s religion. He asked the regime to do everything possible to stamp it out.

Muntu believes that ADF can be defeated if the UPDF is motivated.

“It is a question of focus of resources, motivation of the UPDF, and collaboration with DRC and other international forces. ADF will be defeated,” said Muntu.

He also said that how the regime acts will show the people its intention before asking the top people in the country to do some soul searching.

“The manner in which the regime acts will tell us their intention. If they say one thing and do something completely different, that undermines their credibility. I hope that the top people in the regime will do soul searching and know the complications of the situation we are in, and then act accordingly,” said Muntu.
