51-year-old Pastor Manjeri expects to get married again

Bethel Healing Centre Church senior pastor, Irene Manjeri, shocked very many in October after coming out and sharing to the public that her husband, Dr. Vincent Katongole, to whom she has been married for more than 27 years has three children from three different women outside their marriage.

Manjeri disclosed that her husband had already introduced the three children to his family and he is preparing to marry another woman.

“I got the news that the man is planning to marry another woman yet I have been patiently waiting for him for almost ten years. He has wasted my time because, at 51, I do not think I can give birth,” Manjeri said a few weeks back.

Pastor Manjeri also vowed that for all her life, she has never cheated on her man and she doesn’t need another man because she thinks at her age, it’s a shame.

“I can give birth but I can’t fall in love with another man. It’s embarrassing. I want to be remembered as a born again who walked on the right path. I don’t like cheating because I fear HIV even though I’ve prayed for many people and they’ve healed,” Manjeri stated.

However, Manjeri who has been a model Christian for those who wish to get married has contradicted her statement saying that she might get married again in two years.

While speaking to her congregation over the weekend at Bethel Healing Centre Church, Manjeri, who has just returned from the USA where she has been for almost a month preaching the word of God, talked about her marriage woes and said;

“I took off the wedding ring and threw it away so that I can concentrate on the big upcoming miracle crusades around Uganda,”

She added that there is a possibility of her marrying again.

“I might get married again in 2 years if I meet someone worthy of marriage. The bible allows me to divorce if there is fornication or death. I wish Pastor Vincent Katongole peace and a good life.”

She further went ahead and advised women to desist from abusing the rights of their husbands’ children born outside of their marriage. She urged women to love the children, raise and nurture them and turn them into respectable citizens.

Manjeri said that she has no bad feelings towards Katongole adding that married couples must trust each other and in case of any misunderstandings she urged the couples to resolve the problems amicably without making them public.
