World Cup 2022 Qualifiers: Micho confirms Uganda Cranes squad to face Kenya, Mali

FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifiers (Group E):

11th November 2021: Uganda Cranes Vs Kenya – St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende

14th November 2021: Mali Vs Uganda Cranes – Morocco

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic has confirmed the 28 players on the provisional squad to face Kenya and Mali in the remaining two matches of the FIFA World Cup 2022 group E matches.

The team was named after the Sunday training session at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende where they held a practice training match with UPL side UPDF.

John Revita, Allan Okello, and Mahad Kakooza are among the new additions to the squad.

The team resumes training today afternoon (4 PM) at Lugogo Stadium in Kampala.

“We need to take every match as it is and we are now focusing on the game against Kenya. They will come with pride and ready to spoil the party like they have done before against the Cranes.

We are preparing ourselves in the best way possible. We only ask for support from every stakeholder,” revealed Micho.

Uganda Cranes is placed second with 8 points, Kenya in third with 2 points as West Africans Mali leads the group on 10 points. Rwanda has one point.
