SONG REVIEW: Gamba Chwii- Feffe Bussi

2021 has evidently been graduation season for Feffe Bussi and the fiesta only continues with the FBM chief’s new release.

The poet’s anthology this year is one to envy. The progress in the art form is as clear as daylight. His penmanship has grown like weeds straight from his initial singles such as Kaako.

His viral hit single Gulu was a testament to his progress. His storytelling, creativity, and artistic astuteness were more pronounced at the release of Gulu.

On Gamba Chwii, Feffe rhetorically dares connoisseurs of rap to ask for more.

The track in itself is a double entendre. On one end, fans can dare to ask for more because of his infinite arsenal of lyrical artillery. On the other end, he implies that fans cannot dare to ask for more because at this point when he drops a track, he excels on the mic so hard that his fans cannot dare ask for more.

Produced by D’Mario and Ian Pro, Feffe Bussi lays his dissertation from all his years of blood, sweat, and tears.

He opens the track with a bar that implies how he had to look for opportunities to spit on the mic at the beginning of his career but now, opportunities simply find him wherever he is. He serves a memo to anyone checking for him not to do so unless they have a cheque or him.

The song is a showcase of rap mastery that goes back and forth between the early days of his hustle to themes of braggadocio showcasing how much his craft and net worth have grown.

While flaunting his achievement, he affiliates himself to the big three. He brags that he can reach Chameleone anytime he wants to, has a fan in Bebe Cool, and Bobi Wine is practically family.

Feffe Bussi has kept the Luga Flow flame burning and this is yet another reason why fans ought to celebrate his efforts.
