Former Lubaga South Member of Parliament, John Ken Lukyamuzi who is also a member of the newly formed Pressure group ‘People’s Front for Transition led by Dr. Kizza Besigye has said that the absence of the National Unity Platform (NUP) party and its President Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine in their pressure group cannot stop the struggle from going forward.

The veteran politician stated that their pressure group is not focusing on the next election but on a peaceful transition of power.

“For the 59 years we have been independent, we have never had a peaceful transition of power. The past elections have clearly shown that we can never get change through elections,” said Lukyamuzi.

The Conservative Party president thinks that political parties in Uganda can’t lead to change.

“Museveni looks at them as boys brigade,” says,” he said.

He, however, believes that their newly formed Agenda will see President Museveni out of power by 2026.

“Besigye is the interim Chairman of the People’s Front for Transition. He never wanted to be the Chairman. We chose him because we trust his organizational skills,” he said.
