Veteran ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party cadre Captain Francis Babu has said that Ugandans no longer want to hear stories from government , all they want is to know when schools will open.

Babu says the ministry of Education has to be revamped and rethought as it has a decayed system which can’t even quickly plan for the safe reopening of schools during COVID-19 times.

“We are tired of too much English and lies. We want children back at school. Uganda is in a state of chaos. We need to change our behaviors right from the top leaders.

We need preparation for the schools so that the children go back,” says Babu.

With government announcing re-registration of private schools, Babu urges that all schools should be allowed to open irrespective of registration.

President Yoweri Museveni is set to address the nation today at 8pm. He’s likely to reveal when schools will reopen and also ease lock down on other sectors.
