COVID-19: Uganda’s positivity rate drops to 3.2%

Uganda is currently registering fewer cases of COVID-19 as the positivity rate has dropped to as low as 3.2%. According to the fresh data shared by the Ministry of Health, it has reported 93 new cases of COVID-19.

The new infections take the total cumulative confirmed cases in Uganda to 119,825.
The breakdown of the new cases are; 93 Alerts and Contacts: Kumi (12), Kampala (16), Mbarara (6), Serere (6), Kabale (6), Kasese (5), Soroti (4), Katakwi (3), Bukedea (3), Sironko (2), Tororo (2), Bulambuli (2), Mitooma (1), Kapchorwa (1), Kamuli (1), Wakiso (17), Ngora (1), Oyam (1), Buikwe (1), Bukwo (2), Amuru (1).

The data reveals that only 356 people are currently on admission in various hospitals across the country. A total of 95,507 people have recovered from the virus. Sadly 15 new deaths have been reported. Total deaths now stand at 3,006.
