Uganda records 722 COVID-19 recoveries in one day

Uganda is getting some sighs of relief as the COVID-19 crisis is slowly becoming manageable. The ministry of health yesterday revealed that the lockdown is achieving the intended objectives as infections are continuously dropping each week.

As of today, Uganda positivity rate is at 11.1% and more people are continuing to win battle for the deadly coronavirus. In the statistics released today by the health ministry, 722 persons have recovered from covid-19 in just one single day.

Nonethless 21 have succumbed to the virus while 602 new cases were reported taking the cumulative confirmed cases to 85,581.

The breakdown of the new cases are: 598 Contacts and Alerts: Kampala (270) Isingiro (84) Wakiso (65) Kyotera (22) Gulu (17) Luwero (14) Masaka (14) Kabarole (12) Tororo (10) Kiryandongo (10) Jinja (9) Kalungu (9) Packwach (6) Soroti (5) Butambala (5) Mukono (5) Iganga (4).
