The Ministry of Finance has disclosed that the National Task Force led by Rt.Hon. Prime Minister Robina Nabbanja has presented to them their budget for the COVID-19 relief package for the vulnerable groups in urban areas.

“The budget for Relief Sub-Committee was discussed in main Task Force meeting chaired by Rt.Hon. Prime Minister Nabbanja. Their budget is Shs53 billion translating into 500,000 vulnerable households and Shs100,000 per household,” said the Finance Ministry in a tweet.

The National COVID-19 Taskforce Planning team yesterday held a meeting to dissect issues in the implementation of the COVID-19 relief Plan. They agreed that the vulnerable groups will be identified by the Local Council authorities as each LC is assumed to know the vulnerable in his/her respective area.
