AUDIO: Onyango threatens never to play for Uganda Cranes, “We make money for him (Magogo) but they keep on embezzling players’ funds

Uganda Cranes Skipper Denis Onyango has added his voice on the on-going ‘cold war’ in the Uganda Cranes camp over pay as   legendary goalkeeper has threatened to quit the national team over alleged corruption by Moses Magogo led Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

In an audio recording making rounds on social media, Onyango hinted he may not take part in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers following recent comments from Magogo.

Magogo said cranes players who featured in Chan qualifiers played “sh**tty” football and should not demand for any money.

In response, Onyango said; “I am really tired of making money for those Fufa guys, let him (Magogo) start another team and we see those who do not play ’sh**ty’ football and make the money for him.”

“I do not know who will play for him (Magogo) in the World Cup qualifiers because I do not have the time for that.

“Mutyaba (Mike) has just exposed them, yes they embezzle players’ funds that is the truth because national team players were supposed to be paid one million shillings each monthly but all in vain,” he added.

Onyango’s leaked audio comes a week after retired cranes player Mike Mutyaba has been ranting on social media over unpaid allowances for Cranes players by the Magogo led federation.
