Bobi Wine arrested for leading protest

National Unity Platform (NUP) President Kyagulanyi Sentamu Robert alias Bobi wine has been arrested in downtown Kampala. The former Presidential candidate was leading fellow MPs and other leaders in a peaceful protest against the election rigging, abduction, torture and murder of his supporters. The protest was taking place at City Square, Kampala.

Last week, the presidential hopeful paraded box files containing over 20,000 Declaration Forms from the previous election and insisted that he won the 2021 presidential election with 54.19% and he has overwhelming evidence that his victory was stolen.

He therefore called upon Ugandans to engage in peaceful demonstrations and demand for their win.
