Odonga Otto: I have never looked for a job but time has come that I may need one

The Aruu County Member of Parliament, Odonga Otto is sketching what the future holds for him after failing to defend his MP position that he has consecutively kept since 2001.

In the 2021 polls, Otto lost bid to retain the Aruu County Parliamentary seat for the fifth term to independent candidate Christopher Komakech.

Otto admitted that he’s going through a lot ever since he lost his parliamentary seat. He said that with time he’s getting stronger in his recovery.

However, his only worry is what he’s going to do next in a common life as he’s still only 43 years old. Otto is a Lawyer and a member of the Ugandan Bar, as a practicing Attorney having graduated from Uganda Christian University, in Mukono District with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and in 2010, he was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, by the Law Development Centre.

“I have never looked for a job but time has come that I may need one. It is not easy to adjust to the real world situation but I am already thinking of how I will be able to handle the situation.

It is so stressful and disturbing but somehow I thank God that I am to face what the ordinary man always faces,” said Odonga Otto.
