Once renowned for taking to her social media and showering all kinds of praises on Bobi Wine,  outspoken human rights activist and scholar Dr. Stella Nyanzi has of recent been ‘fluent’ in attacking Bobi Wine and his National Unity Platform (NUP) party.

In her latest editions of poems, Nyanzi says that she finds NUP party terribly sexy when wearing red beret on their heads chanting “N.U.P. everywhere!”

She however, says that their empty sloganeering leaves one hungry because the party is very shallow in ideology.

“The vain promises of liberation quench no thirst. “Mission 2021” “Entebbe Mu Ntebe” “We are removing a dictator!” “Twebeleremu. These are all empty impotent slogans achieving naught!” Nyanzi says.

Nyanzi attacks on Bobi Wine and NUP started when she was overwhelmingly defeated by NUP candidate Shamim Malende in Kampala District Woman Member of Parliament race. Nyanzi stood for the seat on Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) ticket.

During the ‘Hey days,’ Nyanzi once described Bobi Wine as the leader that her soul has been yearning for.
