Uganda Hippos too strong for Mozambique in their debut appearance at AFCON U-20 Championship

Uganda Hippos has this evening enjoyed a dream start at their maiden appearance at the 2021 Total Africa U20 Cup of Nations. The boys have registered 2-0 win in their Group A opener against Mozambique at the Stade Olympique, Nouakchott City, Mauritania.

Uganda Hippos dominated proceedings from the start with convincing offensive play but the boys had to wait until the second half to break the dreadlock. Striker Derrick Kakooza scored a penalty in 57th minute before second half substitute Steven Sserwadda sealed the win with another goal in the 86th minute.

Uganda Hippos will return to action on Wednesday against Cameroon who won 1-0 against hosts Mauritania. Uganda leads the group on goal difference.
