Personal bodyguard for National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Kyagulanyi Robert Sentamu alias Bobi Wine has succumbed to accident injuries after allegedly being overrun by a military patrol truck.
According to the tearful Bobi Wine, Frank Ssenteza (bodyguard), was knocked on their way to Lubaga Hospital while helping to transport Ashraf Kasirye, a journalist with Ghetto media who had been injured during an earlier confrontation between security forces and Bobi Wine’s supporters.
“The regime wants to see us broken but even in these very sad moments, we shall console ourselves as we move,” tearfully said Bobi Wine as he announced Frank’s death.
For Kasirye who is under Intensive Care Unit, Bobi Wine gave a message of hope saying; “We are hoping against hope that he will live.”
Additionally, two other journalists, Ali Mivule of NTV and Daniel Lutaya of NBS TV also got injured in the scuffle. However, their condition is said to be stable.
