We must appreciate the people who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Uganda—Museveni

While in Mbale district, President Museveni who was campaigning in the Bugisu region visited the home of Maumbe Mukhwana a fallen member of the Front for National Salvation (FRONASA). Museveninarrated how he narrowly survived being killed.

“In our efforts to end Amin’s regime in the early 1970s, we held a meeting in this house and were ambushed by Amin’s soldiers. Some of my solidiers were killed in this compound and I managed to escape to Nashibisho forest,”said Museveni

Museveni also asked Ugandans to always appreciate the people who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of this country.
