We don’t know where Amuriat is –Leader of Opposition Betty Aol claims they’re in search of their presidential flag bearer

Leader of opposition in Parliament, Betty Aol Ochan has revealed that the party does not know the whereabouts of their presidential flag bearer Amuriat Oboi Patrick.

Currently security has deployed heavily at the FDC headquarters, Najjanankumbi. And Ochan has been denied entry to the party headquarters. The FDC presidential aspirant Amuriat is expected to be nominated at midday.

Aol says police and arrested and tortured some of the party members who had gathered at Najjanankumbi for the prayers ahead of their candidate’s nomination.

Earlier on the party spokesperson Ssemujju Ibrahim Nganda was arrested and taken to unknown location.

By press time, NUP leader Kyagulanyi Robert Sentamu was enroute to Kyambogo University Cricket Oval for nomination at 10am. Three candidates were duly nominated yesterday these included; incumbent President Yoweri Museveni, ANT’s Mugisha Muntu and Gen Henry Tumukunde.
