Ahead of the second and last day of the 2021 presidential nomination exercise by the Electoral Commission, strongest opposition party Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has asked Police to allow them move with a procession.

According to the party spokesperson Ssemujju Ibrahim Nganda, they have a huge number of members of who wanted to escort the presidential flag bearer Amuriat Oboi Amuriat for nomination at the gazzetted Kyambogo University Cricket Oval but due to the set guidelines, they only want to move with a procession of only 2000 supporters.

Ssemujju wants police to protect their supporters just like how they did when NRM supporters were standing by the road side waving to incumbent President Yoweri Museveni.
