Following Hon Evelyne Anite’s defeat in the heavily contested ruling party National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries for Koboko Municipality, social media has been flooded with posts of jubilations and mockery dedicated to the State Minister for Investment.
While appearing on Spirit Fm, Koboko Charles Ayume, the newly elected NRM Koboko flag bearer urged all his supporters and well-wishers to be gracious in victory.
“Hon. Anite is still the sitting MP and a cabinet Minister. Let us treat her with the respect of her office,” said Ayume.
People on social media have been ridiculing Anite with memes asking her where the majje was to help her win. In 2017 during the age limit, Anite was quoted saying ‘we have the majje’.
Ayume also urged the people of Koboko to unite for development. He is a son to the late Attonery General Francis Ayume.
