In the heavily contested Koboko NRM primaries, Hon. Evelyn Anite has been defeated by opponent Charles Ayume. According to the provisional results, Ayume has got 7384 votes while the incumbent Anite has got 5381 votes.
The popular ‘majje’ girl’s loss has left many shocked as she asked her haters to follow track and vowed to send her opponent packing.
“The moment of truth has come to haters and supporters of losing camp, turn all your eyes and cameras on Koboko and watch me send you and your candidate packing such that next time you don’t hate what you can’t imitate,” said Anite
Anite conceded defeat and said she won’t run as an independent.
“How should I stand as an independent? For what? I can’t waste my time. I am not desperate. I can’t go for desperate measures,” said Anite
she also pointed out on malpractices and questioned why the voter’s register was prepared on the voting day.
“These elections should have been postponed. If the right thing was done, I would have won,” said Anite
Charles Ayume is the son to former Attorney General, Francis Ayume.
