Uganda’s oldest privately owned FM station Sanyu FM is very serious about regaining their number one spot in the country. As the station refreshes it’s programming and presenter line-up, the latest to join is Deedan Muyira who crosses over from Radio City.
Deedan made her first appearance on the station this morning. Deedan will join recently unveiled Yvonne Koreta and comedian Patrick Salvado Idringi to host the revamped Sanyu FM Breakfast Club.
Deedan is also a popular events host and actress.
Word from Sanyu FM is that Deedan is not the last recruit and other presenters will be unveiled soon. The new look Sanyu FM is being put together by new Programmes Director, radio veteran Roger Mugisha who started his journey on Sanyu FM 24 years ago.
The station management says the reformation of the station will see an addition of more exciting presenters with more exciting personalities and rebranding some of the shows to give listeners a fresh experience.
The management is also looking at leading the line-up and waking up listeners to informative discussion, quality news and compelling analysis and getting listeners up-to-speed with the biggest stories of the day and setting up the week with intelligent conversation and features.
