Recently reports have been making rounds that Uganda’s strongest opposition party Forum for Democratic (FDC) was in talks with their ‘usual’ candidate Dr Kizza Besigye trying to push him run again against President Yoweri Museveni in the forthcoming election.

In a shocking disclosure, Leader of opposition in Parliament Aol Betty Ochan has said that FDC will not field Besigye as their presidential flag bearer in the upcoming election.

Ochan claimed that with FDC not being a one man’s party, Besigye has always told the party leadership how he wants to create room for another person to express interest in the position.

The four-time presidential aspirant is yet to officially express his intentions to stand against Museveni for the fifth time. However, our sources in the FDC reveal saying; “If not Besigye then who else?”

Similarly, Besigye has always hit back at those who ask him to quit the struggle. He says no one invited him into struggle so he will fight until Uganda is liberated.

Last month, People’s Government led by Besigye and Bobi Wine’s People Power Movement announced a coalition dubbed United Forces of Change and they hinted on working together in the upcoming election.
