Former Uganda Cranes and SC Villa legend Andrew ‘Fimbo’ Mukasa has recently come out to ask for support as he continues on his long road to recovery.
Today members of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) cabinet led by Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago paid a courtesy to the soccer legend. Lukwago contributed Shs1 million and other food stuff.
“It’s disheartening to note that many of our legends are living more less like needy and it’s high time we developed a national policy on their social security arrangements,” Lukwago said while handing over his contribution.
Fimbo, is greatly known for his scoring exploits, with his 45-goal season in 1999 that’s still yet to be broken.
However, his career was greatly put to a sad end because of his mental illness. According to Mukasa, he desires to return to football as a coach.
