Presidential aspirant Maureen Kyalya has expressed her fears ahead of the 2021 general elections. Kyalya said the current most popular opposition figure Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has reduced his campaigns to spreading hatred against President Museveni.
Kyalya said Bobi Wine is promoting a cult that is only focusing on being anti Museveni instead of pushing his manifesto.
“I am not comfortable with this anti Museveni that we the Ugandans have now been reduced to. Yes Bobi Wine is popular I get it but so was Besigye before him.
From where I stand, the pain and blood of Buganda has lost right before the 1900 Buganda agreement forming Uganda is too unbearable to withstand a violent war and transition of power. I can feel the smell of blood of people who are going to die in these elections right from afar; people ribs are going to be broken; children who are going to be orphaned,” Kyalya said.
She said if Bobi Wine wins an election in such a manner, no civil servant will be willing to work in Bobi Wine’s ‘violent’ government.
Kyalya advised Bobi Wine to refocus his campaign from hatred against Museveni to a manifesto of what he is going to do for Uganda as a president.
