The Speke Group of Hotels continues to lead in hospitality and innovation in the country. While most hotel and restaurant facilities have placed sanitisers and hand wash facilities at their entrances, Speke Apartments on Wampewo Avenue has gone hi-tech with a walk-in sanitiser booth.
As one walks through the booth, several nozzles release mist that sanitizes the body. It takes about 15 seconds to sanitise the whole body, and a person doesn’t get wet as the booth uses misty vapour and not liquid.
The facility’s General Manager Sajeev Kulangarath the facility is to protect guests and workers alike. “It is an extra precaution against Covid-19 and people are appreciating. It is a new investment in the hospitality industry,” he said.
State Minister for Primary Health Care Dr Joyce Moriku hailed the move. “It is a good innovation (especially for the hospitality industry). It sanitises the whole body unlike the usual ones of sanitizing only the hands,” she was quoted by Daily Monitor.
