It has been a while (a while being a few days) since we last registered COVID-19 recoveries but that is no more. The Ministry of Health has confirmed that three people have recovered from the disease.
According to the ministry, the three patients tested negative twice for the disease at an interval of 24 hours and have been discharged from Entebbe Grade B Hospital this afternoon.
This means that the total number of recoveries in Uganda now stand at 55, out of the 89 confirmed cases.
This good news, it is thought, will be essential in decision making regarding either the extension of lockdown or its easing when President Yoweri Museveni makes his address on the situation of COVID-19 in the country tonight at 8 pm.
