As a way of coping up with the 14-day lockdown to combat COVID-19 pandemic in Uganda, most dwellers in and around Kampala have taken to streets to jog, in a gesture of keeping fit during this period.
Though keeping fit in such a situation is very important, the numbers that flock the different roads in the city especially in the evening are worrying.
Given that coronavirus needs social distancing to keep in check for further spreading, the big numbers of people on other roads might lead to the spread of the deadly virus since those exercising are very much exposed, as the be very close to each other.
The most crowded roads include; the Kyaliwajala-Naalya road, Northern Bypass section that connects Bweyogerere Industrial Park (Home of UNBS, etc ) to Kireka – Namugongo Road, Kampala Northern Bypass, Namboole parking areas and Mutungo Hill among other roads.
