Lt. Gen Henry Tumukunde arrested
Last week on Thursday, Retired Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde was arrested by the Special Forces Command (SFC) officers at his private office in Kololo. The following day, Police released a statement that the former Security Minister was arrested for treason, after calling out Rwanda to help him oust the current government in Uganda.
“He (Tumukunde) is, therefore, being charged under Sections 23 (2) b and 23 (3) b, of the Penal Code Act, which deals with instigating persons to invade the Republic of Uganda and inciting any persons to make a mutinous assembly,” said Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga.
Pastor Bugingo gifts girlfriend Suzan Makula a brand new Range Rover worth Shs340 million
Although we are past the month of love (February), to some people every month is another opportunity to express their love. Pastor Aloysius Bujingo of House of Prayer Ministries has surprised his girlfriend and wife to be Suzan Makula with a gift of a brand new Range Rover Sport.
The Range Rover Sport is estimated to be worth Shs340 million. Sources say Bujingo shopped the car for Makula while they were at vacation in France last week.
Bujingo and Makula are expected to wed this year in August but it will only happen after the pastor finalises the divorce process with estranged wife Teddy Naluswa.
Speaker Kadaga suspends MP to go and self-quarantine
Although Uganda has not yet registered any Coronavirus infections, the pandemic keeps getting closer to our motherland every other day that p[asses with neighbours Kenya and Rwanda recording cases already.
Last week in Parliament, Speaker Kadaga suspended Hon. Anthony Akol, the Member of Parliament for Kilak North Constituency on suspicion of carrying the deadly Coronavirus.
Kadaga asked Akol to leave the Chambers after the legislator admitted to have travelled to South Korea and later to South Africa and not undergoing any health screening on return at Entebbe International Airport.
“You admitted to the Hansard that you travelled to these places. Please go and self-quarantine,” Kadaga said.
