The Afrika Kwetu trek might have come to an end but the six-day jamboree in the wild is still a topic of debate among many political analysts. The latest to weigh in on the issue is self-styled conspiracy theorist and political analyst Tamale Mirundi.

On his weekly television show, the senior Presidential Advisor on Media Affairs Tamale said that bush war theories do not please the younger generation and compared their relevance to that of apartheid, for they are things of the past.

“How long are Ugandans going to dwell in the past?” Tamale wondered, before claiming that the trek was orchestrated by the Mafia to fail Museveni.

Tamale explained the irrelevance of the Museveni Trek to the younger generation by giving an example about himself and his age.

“By the time Museveni took over power in 1986, I was only 23 years old and whoever was 60 years onward by then must have already met their creator. Therefore, it should not be a narrative being pushed around to the current generation,” Mirundi said.

This has been the first appearance on the show for Tamale Mirundi since he got terribly sick towards the end of last year.
