First son Muhoozi re-appointed SFC commander as Sabiiti is dropped from Police, replaced by Gen Paul Lokech

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has re-appointed his son Lt. Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as the Commander Special Forces Command (SFC), a unit that guards the President of Uganda.

Muhoozi was dropped from the position in 2017 and appointed to the position of Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, a position which he still holds.

In other developments, the former Deputy SFC commander Maj.Gen Sabiiti Muzeyi has been dropped as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) and replaced by Gen Paul Lokech. Sabiiti has been taken back to the Army Headquarters for redeployment.

“I congratulate UPDF for defeating traitors with their foreign backers. Police must defend Ugandans from lawlessness. Any Police person who doesn’t do this, must leave Police, there are thousands ready to replace them,” Commander in Chief Gen. Museveni commented on new appointments.
