NUP parliamentary candidate for Kumi County pulls out race after party failed to fund his campaigns, joins NRM to ‘secure his future’

With just a month to the polling date for presidential and parliamentary candidates on January 14 2021, Kumi County parliamentary candidate for the National Unity Platform (NUP), Twalib Osama has pulled out of the 2021 election race.

Osama has quit the party joining the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM). He says that NUP has done nothing in helping to facilitate his campaigns. This leaves five candidates battling it out for the Kumi County parliamentary seat.

Osama claims that he has joined NRM Party to secure his life and entire family.

He has been welcomed by the NRM Vice Chairperson Eastern region Captain Mike Mukula who applauded him for knowing that NRM has the best plans for Uganda than any other party.

“You’re welcome to the Wining Team!” said Mukula as he handed him NRM branded merchandise that included; shirt, cap and t-shirt among other items.
