As the country warms up for the 2021 general elections, the former Vice President Dr. Specioza Kazibwe has questioned the National Unity Platform presidential candidate’s ability to lead the country.
“I don’t think Kyagulanyi is ready yet. We have other alternatives,” said Dr.Kazibwe
Dr. Kazibwe who was on NBS today morning said that as a mother she’s happy Kyagulanyi has come out and added that it shows Uganda is a free country.
“I am a mother, I like Kyagulanyi, I got married from Gayaza, he is a new player. Let all the children play, with yours inclusive,”said Dr. Kazibwe.
While using parables, the Nalongo said that it is good for everyone to be able to participate in the elections but maintained that not everyone can win.
“Not every dog will be able to hunt. Some puppies go along and follow the herd. That is very good. Some puppies are good at barking,” said Dr. Kazibwe.
She also said that there should be a kind of body where people who vie to be president seat to enable them get well versed with what Uganda is all about and also recommended Kyagulanyi to join that body.
“One thing we recommended when we were writing the constitution was something akin to the senator, an advisory council which would also look at what parliament is saying. Almost like a senate between Parliament, you would get Kyagulanyi to go there and then the next election he would be well versed with what Uganda is all about,” said Dr. Kazibwe.
